Grand Fitness Partners is seeking a highly motivated and skilled AV/IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, deeply customer-focused environment and are passionate about providing exceptional technical support for over 80 Planet Fitness locations across the continental US! This is a remote role with on-site requirements based in one of our markets in NJ, VA, FL or CA markets. This role will require on-site support at times.
As an AV/IT Support Technician, the candidate will be responsible for AV and IT support for all locations, including troubleshooting any reported issues to resolution or further escalation. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technology skills set, a deep customer-focus, and strong direct communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support on any AV and IT current issues reported by clubs’ staff.
2. Support on any project deployment and preventative maintenance.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at clubs efficiently and effectively.
4. Staggered on-call schedule for location network outages.
5. Work order management in accordance with current SLAs.
6. Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
7. Potential for interstate travel to markets/locations.
8. Focus on the continued proper function of all televisions at all locations.
9. Focus on the continued proper function of Wi-Fi systems at all locations.
10. Staggered on-call schedule with IT Specialist for outage coverage off-hours.
Successful external candidate will be required to successfully pass criminal background check in accordance with state, local and federal laws.
Requirements
1. Strong understanding of visual media types (Coax, HDMI, USB, Cat5/6, etc.).
2. Experience troubleshooting and installation of televisions in a commercial environment.
3. Familiarity with AV equipment and control systems, including:
4. Televisions, video distribution systems.
5. Commercial audio systems, amplifiers.
6. Strong understanding of Wi-Fi protocols.
7. Strong understanding of basic IT network infrastructure.
8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel).
9. Experience mounting AV equipment (e.g., monitors, speakers).
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Excellent organizational skills.
12. Sense of urgency with incoming high-priority situations.
13. Great interpersonal skills.
14. GED or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
15. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
16. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
17. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
18. Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead, bend, stoop and crawl as needed.
19. Quarterly travel out of market as needed.
Preferred Skills
1. A/V with special focus on commercial television and video distribution experience.
2. Level 1 IT Network experience.
3. Understanding of wireless networks (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).
4. Familiarity with SonicWall LAN networks.
5. Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 environment.
6. AV Net Pro certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
7. CompTIA A+ certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
Salary Description
