Overview
A global, tier-one mission-critical general contractor is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project in Switzerland. This is a key project-based role, working closely with site and project leadership to drive programme certainty, sequencing, and reporting on a complex, fast-track build.
Candidates must already be based in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, manage, and maintain the integrated project programme from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
* Lead programme planning and scheduling activities using Primavera P6 (or equivalent)
* Work closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure alignment on sequencing and milestones
* Monitor progress, identify risks and delays, and implement mitigation strategies
* Prepare and present programme reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates to internal and external stakeholders
* Support change management, including programme impacts related to variations and scope changes
* Ensure planning best practice is applied across construction, MEP, testing & commissioning phases
* Contribute to claims support, delay analysis, and forensic planning where required
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Planning Manager / Senior Planner role within data centres, mission-critical, or complex construction projects
* Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential)
* Experience working for a main contractor or general contractor
* Understanding of fast-track, technically complex builds (MEP-heavy environments preferred)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent English required; German advantageous but not essential
* Currently based in Switzerland with the right to work
