We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our headquarters in Lamone, Switzerland.
An insight to the role
Build and maintain advanced data models to support reporting, analytics, and operational data flows. Design efficient schemas, optimize normalization/denormalization strategies, and ensure referential integrity.
* Advanced SQL Development
Develop and optimize complex SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and analytical queries. Perform query optimization, execution plan analysis, and systematic performance tuning. Build automated diagnostic scripts for system monitoring and anomaly detection.
* System Integration & Scripting
Implement and maintain integrations with SAP B1 via DI-API, Service Layer, APIs, custom connectors, ODBC, or message queues. Develop automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for monitoring, data processing, and system maintenance.
Design and develop ETL workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and synchronization between SAP B1 and external systems (APIs, middleware, custom integrations).
Build automated data pipelines with high throughput and data quality.
Implement data validation frameworks and automated data integrity checks.
Create datasets, views, and data sources for BI platforms. Design analytical layers and OLAP‑like structures to support dashboards and operational KPIs. Implement predictive and statistical analyses where needed (trend detection, forecasting models).
