Regional Business Development Manager (100%)
Your contribution
As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth for Tecan’s OEM and Partnering Business. You will identify and develop new business opportunities on a global level and build lasting relationships with partners and customers at all levels, including C-suite executives from start-ups to large multinationals.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new growth opportunities both within and beyond the existing customer base
Generate high-quality leads and guide them through the sales funnel to successful closure
Operate at a strategic level, understanding partner structures, strategies, product gaps, and roadmaps
Build and maintain strategic account plans, including decision-making maps and growth strategies
Establish and nurture strong relationships across partner organizations, including C-level contacts
Understand target markets, key applications, industry trends, and the competitive landscape
Ensure overall customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships
Collaborate closely with internal teams (Customer Project Management, Product Management, Legal, R&D, Finance, Service, Operations, QARA, Sales Order Desk)
Attend conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings
Adhere to company guidelines, agreement terms, and the code of conduct
Your background

Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field; a PhD is a plus
Further education in Business Administration, Business Management, or Strategic Selling is desirable
At least 3 years’ experience managing large accounts in an international environment
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in Diagnostics, MedTech, or Life Sciences, with established contacts
Proven experience negotiating and closing complex business-to-business contracts
Excellent command of English; German and other languages are an advantage
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Keen attention to detail, especially in contracts
Assertiveness and a confident demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
