Job Description
1. Originate, negotiate, and execute LNG and TVB trading deals, coordinating contracting terms with internal teams
2. Build and maintain relationships with external LNG/TVB market participants and brokers to gather market intelligence and identify trading and optimization opportunities
3. Develop and communicate short-term market views for LNG and TVB (and potentially PVB), particularly focused on the Iberian market
4. Initiate and manage capacity acquisitions (e.g., storage, regasification, and slot capacity) and optimize the value of cargoes and infrastructure within the portfolio
5. Identify and implement hedging strategies and derivative positions, including management of speculative trades aligned with market views
6. Contribute to Active Daily Portfolio (ADP) discussions, ensuring alignment between trading strategies, market outlook, and portfolio positions
7. Identify opportunities to expand the gas portfolio footprint in Iberia, including the development of activities in Portugal
8. Coordinate counterparty onboarding and contractual frameworks (e.g., NDA, MSPA, agreements) and support mid- to long-term procurement, sales activities, and internal analytics development
Qualifications
9. 5+ years in natural gas, or energy trading/portfolio management, ideally with Iberian market experience
10. Proven commercial and deal-making skills, including origination, negotiation, and execution of physical or derivative trades
11. Strong understanding of gas market fundamentals, including LNG logistics, regasification, storage, and capacity optimization
12. Experience with hedging and derivatives, translating market views into actionable trading strategies
13. Established network in LNG and gas markets, with the ability to build and leverage commercial relationships
14. Strong analytical skills for short-term market views and portfolio optimization
15. Able to work cross-functionally with trading, structuring, risk, legal, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment
16. Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese preferred, with familiarity in Iberian energy markets
