R&D Project Manager The R&D Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of complex R&D projects for relevant products, ensuring timely, within scope, and within budget completion. Reporting to the Senior R&D Manager, the role involves regular collaboration with surgeons to obtain clinical feedback.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the following activities:
Project planning & execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for R&D projects related to relevant products and ensure successful execution.
Surgeon interaction: Collaborate regularly with surgeons to gather detailed clinical feedback on product designs, applying insights to optimize development.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work with engineering, regulatory, and marketing teams to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder management: Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and addressing risks or issues.
Risk management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Resource management: Ensure optimal use of resources, working closely with team leads and department heads.
Documentation & compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with medical device regulations.
Problem-solving: Resolve project-related issues efficiently to minimize impact on deadlines.
Leadership: Provide leadership and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
Hard Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
Over 2 years of project management experience in the medical device industry, with proven success in R&D projects.
Excellent knowledge of 3D design, SolidWorks, and MATLAB.
Strong planning, execution, and resource management skills across multiple projects.
Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle, including working with surgeons and stakeholders.
Fluent in English.
Soft Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to identify risks and resolve issues efficiently.
Willingness to travel for congresses and surgeon meetings.
