We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support a well-established investment firm specializing in private markets. The firm manages significant assets across private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure, leveraging specialized local teams and a global platform to provide high-quality investment management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate, regulatory, and governance matters.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including investment management, administration, distribution, marketing, and NDAs.
3. Oversee corporate legal matters, maintaining legal files and statutory registers.
4. Collaborate with internal teams such as Compliance, Investment Management, and Operations on legal and corporate projects.
5. Liaise with external counsel and support the General Counsel in regulatory compliance.
6. Assist the Board and Management Committees with legal tasks, including drafting internal policies, SLAs, and governance documents.
Your Profile:
7. Experience in complex cross-border M&A transactions or Private Market transactions providing legal support for structuring, negotiating and documenting including Private Equity deals
8. Min 5 years of PQE experience
9. Postgraduate studies/foreign degree (e.g., LL.M.) or similar work experience abroad (e.g., associate in a foreign law firm).
10. Distinct ability to outline complex matters in a simple, logical and conclusive manner, and the ability to effectively communicate with senior management and outside experts.
11. Ability to handle numerous and competing tasks and priorities, and to be resourceful and composed under pressure, coupled with excellent project management skills.
