Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will take full ownership of the accounting for the Spanish entity while supporting colleagues across the group in daily accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the full financial accounting process for the Spanish entity.
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Optimizing and further developing accounting processes, particularly in the implementation of a new ERP system.
* Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets, including reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
* Preparing and coordinating audits in close collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors.
* Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting regulations and supporting tax filings.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role, you should bring:
* Fluent Spanish (ideally C2) + fluent German (min B1) and fluent English (min. B2)
* A degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, or an equivalent qualification with a specialization in accounting.
* At least 5 years, ideally 8+ years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in an international company.
* Strong MS Office skills and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
* A structured, analytical, and proactive approach, with a high level of responsibility and integrity.
