PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Receive direction from the General Foreman and Superintendent on daily tasks for the crew. Demonstrate good skills and knowledge of duties within the craft environment being supervised.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
* Collaborate effectively with craft workers, supervision, and clients.
* Maintain safety accountability.
* Ensure high quality of work is maintained.
* Complete daily timecards accurately.
* Conduct daily toolbox safety meetings and maintain minutes.
* Manage permits and lockout/tagout procedures.
* Complete craft employee evaluations.
* Access and understand Safety, Health, and Environmental information.
* Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
* Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions to eliminate or minimize risks.
* Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by supervision.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
At least four (4) years of refinery maintenance, turnaround, or construction experience. Good understanding of the craft environment and basic hand tools. Ability to pass the Craft Skills Test with a score of 70% or higher, or possess an NCCER certification for your craft. Familiarity with Matrix Service policies and procedures. Completion of Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, S.T.A.R.T. Class, and client/site-specific training. Must maintain an active drug testing program status, including random screenings.
