An exciting opportunity is available at our location in Reinach near Basel, Switzerland, as part of a succession plan.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a global purchasing strategy in line with the corporate strategy
* Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships worldwide
* Negotiate and conclude framework agreements with international suppliers
* Manage and optimize global procurement processes
* Ensure compliance, sustainability, and risk management across the supply chain
* Lead and develop the global procurement team
* Monitor relevant KPIs and report to management
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (development, product management, quality, production, logistics)
Requirements
* A relevant degree in business or technical studies (e.g. Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field)
* Strong technical affinity, particularly in high-performance plastics
* Several years of strategic purchasing experience, ideally in an international environment
* Leadership experience in decentralized teams
* Fluency in German and English; other languages are a plus
* Strong analytical, strategic, and project management skills, with experience in digital purchasing systems
* Willingness to travel intercontinentally on a regular basis
* Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build strong partnerships
* A solution-oriented mindset and strong analytical capabilities
