Job Description
* Implement Veeam Availability Suite, Avamar, IDPA Deduplication. Familiarity with IP Network, WAN, and LAN-based data backup design and configuration.
* Experience with data protection and backup recovery solutions such as virtual tape, disk-to-disk-to-tape, and data replication.
* Unix and/or Windows systems administration experience. Configuring, maintaining NDMP backups for various NAS technologies. Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting database backups.
* Planning for media rotation, management, offsite movement, scheduling of new backups, and modifying existing jobs.
* Performing restores, backup monitoring, reporting, tool installation, troubleshooting backup failures, scripting, and automation of minor tasks.
* Managing storage/hyperconverged solutions like HPE3PAR, Nimble, Pure Storage, EMC, Simplivity.
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining storage hardware, including physical and virtual tape libraries or drives, along with disk storage targets.
* Managing SAN devices and fiber switches, administering Brocade director FC switches and blade chassis FC devices.
* Managing Pure snapshot and recovery methods for storage volumes, executing cross-site replication for DR data, supervising volume replication jobs, and developing database LUNs.
* Conducting performance evaluations, ensuring backup methods are tested, and maintaining records for storage and FC systems.
