Solution Engineering: Student Worker Opportunities at Microsoft. Duration: 6 months. Start Date: February 2026 – August 2026. Type of Employment: 60% Paid Internship. This role involves engaging with customers to guide technical decisions to purchase and use Microsoft technology and leveraging sales strategy to address customer digital transformation and align technology to customer business needs.
As a Solution Engineer Student Worker, you will understand customer needs, collect feedback, provide strategic input, and act as an orchestration point for technical resources to resolve blockers and achieve solution implementations. You will work on real-world projects in collaboration with teams across the world, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities
* Develop understanding of current customer context and anticipate next steps. Use product knowledge to build credibility with customers.
* Review customer interactions and raise competitive information to account teams to contribute to development and landing of competitive strategies.
* Contribute to product strategy by soliciting and communicating customer feedback.
* Tailor Microsoft standard messaging to the audience using knowledge of specific Microsoft products.
* Contribute to demonstrations (e.g., proof of concept) of solutions based on Microsoft products through initial engagements and coaching from senior colleagues. Leverage partner/customer teams as needed to prove product capabilities and integration into the customer environment.
* Consume and leverage readiness materials to expand domain knowledge and practices expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and must be in the final year of study
* Must be available to do an internship from February 2026 to August 2026
* Must be legally authorized to work in Switzerland (citizenship or valid visa/work permit)
* Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ year of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent
* Passion for technology and customer obsession
* Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills
* Strong business acumen for consultative solution selling
* Exceptional negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills
