Role
As an experienced Backend Software Engineer, you’ll be the brain behind crafting, developing, testing, going live and maintaining the platform we deliver. You will leverage your backend programming skills to build real-life micro-services that serve the Visium AI systems in close collaboration with other software and ML engineers. You are passionate about understanding the business context for features built to drive better customer experience and adoption. Finally, you are meticulously organized and prepared to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will in responsible for:
1. Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using containerization, Azure and Kubernetes
2. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using Python
3. Implement unit tests to ensure high-quality software
4. Design, document and implement REST APIs with FastAPI
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems, utilizing Neo4j, MongoDB, and Redis for data storage and management
6. Implement REST APIs for seamless integration with the frontend
7. Manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment of software
8. Utilize GitOps and a DevOps mindset to ensure efficient and effective software development and deployment
Requirements
We are looking for
9. 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer or in a relevant role
10. Proficiency in Python and unit testing
11. Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes
12. Strong understanding of Neo4j, MongoDB, and Redis
13. Experience with Docker, ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps
14. Experience with fundamental front-end languages (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
17. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
18. Understanding of the management of the development of a product (agile, scrum)
19. Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
20. Hands-on in object-oriented programming, large-scale software architecture, and networking
21. Understanding of secure backend/frontend communication
22. This role requires working on client-site 2 days per week in Geneva.
Previous experience in consulting role(s) is a plus
