We are looking for a new colleague to join our ScalableCustomer Architectures global team to expand our practice aroundour smart building platform “Building X”; our end-to-end Io Tplatform for buildings which includes open AI enabled applicationsand creates the potential to redefine how building-data is handledand what can be generated from it. In this role, you will workclosely with our sales and pre-sales teams to support customers ontheir digital transformation journeys of building infrastructures.As a Smart Building - Customer Solution Architect, you willcollaborate with decision-makers at various levels, fromoperational teams to senior stakeholders, to develop solutions thatalign with customer needs and business objectives. Your newresponsibilities - Collaborate with sales teams to understandcustomer needs, analyze opportunities, and align solutions withcustomer strategies and requirements - Lead technical riskassessments for complex, integrated, and non-standard projects tosupport management approvals - Design secure and scalableedge-to-cloud solution architectures that address customerobjectives and enable digital transformation - Prepare and delivervalue-based workshops to identify customer pain points, desiredoutcomes, and relevant use cases - Support execution of complexsolutions, including 3rd party integrations, custom developments,and non-standard technologies - Calculate and validate customerROI, and drive cost optimization through value engineering andIT/OT portfolio alignment - Support and lead bids, tenders, Po Cs,presentations, demos, exhibitions, and roadshows - Monitor theprogress of critical projects throughout their lifecycle andcontribute directly to project execution when needed - Buildstrong, collaborative relationships with regional leads, businesspartners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and monetizationof support services - Ensure every customer interaction isengaging, and value-driven, while promoting open communication andknowledge sharing across the team - Collaborate with Bid Managementand regional teams to develop proposals and ensure seamless projecthandover Your skills and experience - Bachelor’s or Master’s degreein Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or arelated field, with 10+ years of technical experience in enterpriseenvironments, particularly in digital buildings and smartinfrastructure - Strong knowledge of smart building technologies,Io T platforms, and solution architectures - especially cloud-basedand edge-to-cloud models - Solid understanding of IT/OTintegration, cybersecurity principles, and industry-standardcommunication protocols (including API/SDK) - Proficiency inoperating systems (Windows Server, Linux), databases (MS SQL,Oracle, Mongo DB), high availability systems (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V,Citrix) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) - Practical experience indelivering consulting services, including customer co-creation,design-thinking workshops, and use case development - Experience inROI validation, value engineering, and aligning solutions withcustomer KPIs and business outcomes - Exposure to verticals such asdatacenter, metros, healthcare, airports, commercial real estate,higher education, or smart cities is a strong advantage - Flexibleand adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment withgeographically distributed teams - Proactive, independent, andcollaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and theability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders -Excellent communication and presentation skills in English;knowledge of German or other European languages is a plus Location: qualified candidates need a valid work permit for the respectivecountry.
