Responsibilities
As an Accountant specialising in accounting and taxation, your main duties will include:
- Managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general accounting, as well as bank reconciliations for legal entities and self-employed individuals.
- Preparing and submitting tax returns for individuals and legal entities, including VAT, corporate tax, and other legal obligations.
- Ensuring compliance with Swiss accounting and tax standards.
- Participating in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing tax advice and support to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborating with auditors and regulatory authorities when necessary.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems to enhance their efficiency and reliability.
- Applying and monitoring IFRS standards.
- Preparing payroll slips.
- Handling self-disclosure procedures.
- Maintaining communication with clients and authorities.
- Implementing and monitoring cost accounting.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting and taxation, ideally in the Swiss market.
- Excellent knowledge of Swiss tax legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
