In this role, you will lead a team while overseeing our procurement activities in Zurich, in close collaboration with the global team, to ensure the smooth operations of our supply chain. Your focus will be on strategically and operatively managing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, overseeing the warehousing processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals. Your mission Lead and mentor a small procurement team, fostering a collaborative work environment Develop and implement an effective procurement strategy for Zurich aligned with global strategy and company objectives Ensure availability of all purchased materials (raw, semi-finished, and finished goods) for further processing Act as a sparring partner to engineering in managing local suppliers Collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, customer service, finance, sales) to ensure seamless procurement coordination Identify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to secure optimal terms and quality Work closely with sales to develop accurate demand forecasts Analyze and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and present regular procurement performance reports, including KPIs and cost-saving initiatives, to the executive team Your skills and professional experience Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Business Administration or Purchasing (Betriebswirtschafter HF / dipl.
