Role Objective
Lead research activities from discovery to development by delivering target molecules in an efficient, safe, and sustainable manner.
Key Responsibilities
Synthesis:
Safely, sustainably, efficiently, and independently execute synthetic routes, in partnership with key support platforms (e.g., automation, analytics, purification platforms) to maximize efficiency.
Synthesis (Design):
Independently and collaboratively design efficient synthetic routes to target molecules and molecular sets using available knowledge, experience, and digital tools.
HSE:
Perform detailed risk assessments of experimental procedures and raw materials in compliance with company's HSE standards.
Documentation:
Accurately document and communicate experimental procedures and data with the highest scientific precision and sufficient observational detail to enable easy reproduction, retrieval, digital integration, and secure IP protection.
Problem Solving:
Independently and collaboratively troubleshoot and solve synthetic chemistry challenges within the project.
Knowledge:
Maintain excellence in modern synthetic methods and technologies through continuous personal development.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of laboratory practices and methods by identifying, removing, and escalating barriers to enhance safety and productivity in the labs.
Qualifications
Minimum required degree:
Master's degree or 3–5 years of industrial experience following completion of an apprenticeship program, both in synthetic chemistry.
Experience & Skills
* Proficient in all aspects of synthetic organic chemistry, including reaction design, retrosynthesis, troubleshooting, purification, and structure elucidation, while maintaining high HSE standards.
* Collaborative and self-motivated; works effectively within teams and is capable of delivering independently.
* Comfortable with software tools related to synthetic program design and analysis of synthetic data.
