Senior Software Architect – Siemens Switzerland
We are currently seeking a Senior Software Architect to join the SI CTO in Zug, Switzerland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our technical software strategy, including data and IoT architecture, and foster a data‑driven culture within the organization.
Location: Zug, Switzerland. Legal eligibility to work in Switzerland is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive initiatives by engaging with collaborators, communicating, and educating on software architecture and design.
* Design, communicate, and drive enterprise software strategy including data products.
* Collaborate closely with Product teams to understand business use cases and assist with architecture for those use cases.
* Research new technologies and patterns to lead innovation.
* Identify architecture and technology gaps and work with stakeholders across organizational boundaries to address them.
* Provide architecture expertise to support product development within business units.
* Stay up to date with standards and best practices in the infrastructure industry, and define best practices, guidance, and standards of technical excellence.
* Act as a software strategy expert, coaching and advising the extended team.
* Secure support and buy‑in from critical stakeholders to drive key initiatives and projects.
* Facilitate seamless communication and teamwork among different departments to ensure efficient delivery.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, staying ahead of industry trends, new technologies, and standard methodologies in Data and AI.
* Conduct feasibility studies and recommend appropriate technologies and solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
* Validated experience designing and developing enterprise‑level software products or solutions.
* Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience as a Software Architect, including at least 2 years of SaaS over public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP).
* Track record of delivering enterprise‑level software products or solutions with alignment across internal and external customers.
* Deep expertise in cloud‑native development, infrastructure as code and cloud platforms.
* Ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies.
* Experience with Agile methodology.
* Understanding of AI and machine learning.
* A proactive attitude with a passion for getting things done.
