Our client is a global leader in Haute Horlogerie, the artistry of watchmaking, this group operates through various Houses and Manufacturing Units. The brand’s collections include iconic names, representing Artistry and craftsmanship which shine through their exquisite guilloché dials, enamel work, and gem-setting work. Their cutting-edge industrial infrastructure employs approximately 8,000 individuals, with a majority based in Switzerland.
The Head of Training will be responsible for leading the training within the areas of watchmaking, micromechanics, and quality. This role involves developing the training strategy for technical professions and managing a team of four trainers.
The Head of Training will also establish provisional budgets for the development of the training center and participate in events related to vocational training, such as job revisions and CIE organization. They will promote Manufacture training programs at events like job fairs, ETVJ open houses, and serve as the point of contact for vocational schools, CPIH, or other training-related organizations.
In addition, they will act as the reference for parents and the apprenticeship commissioner and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
The role also includes organizing the reception of interns from watchmaking schools and facilitating career discovery sessions. They will conduct communication campaigns for the recruitment of new apprentices and take on leadership responsibility for all trainees, including regular evaluations, budget accountability, and management measures as needed.
Furthermore, they will plan and implement training within the manufacturing and watchmaking departments. They will liaise with departments to identify training needs, develop content for identified training programs, and implement internal training, adapting it according to evolving needs.
* Educational and Professional Background: With training in watchmaking or micromechanics and a technician’s diploma or equivalent, you are passionate about watchmaking and have at least 5 years of experience in the field, eager to share your expertise.
