Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including managing local and global engagements, providing customs advisory support, and leading trade compliance review and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage local and global engagements, including working with other service lines and global EY member firms.
* Provide customs advisory support across different functional areas, such as customs valuation, classification, origin, processes, and documentation.
* Manage implementation of several different projects, meeting deadlines, prioritization, client management.
* Align customs regulations and different tax operating models with sustainability regulations, especially where cross-border good movement is involved.
* Lead and manage trade compliance review and audits.
* Develop work propositions, including business development initiatives.
* Trade automation and analytics project coordination and working with offshore EY Global Trade Center of Excellence.
* Supervise employees and participate in their training and professional development, contributing to knowledge sharing within the firm.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A recognized diploma in Law and/or Economics, preferably obtained from an EU or Swiss University or equivalent foreign diploma.
* A first experience in Tax Advisory/Compliance coupled with a true interest in Global Trade, Customs, Indirect taxes, and sustainability regulations.
* Excellent level of English is mandatory; German, French, Italian, or other languages are additional assets.
* Good IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a necessity; understanding of data analytics principles, Power BI, and other software is an advantage.
