Technical-Scientific Associate 1725 Posieux and working from home | 80-100%
This is how you can contribute
1. Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of chemometric methods via NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy) and MIRS (mid-infrared spectroscopy).
2. Develop new chemometric and secondary methods (MS, XRF, etc.).
3. Support PhD, Master's, and other students with laboratory analytical methods in connection with current Agroscope research projects and scientific work.
4. Contribute to and present work and research results, as well as contribute to the authoring of scientific publications.
5. Manage the chemometrics laboratory (QA, traceability, validation, etc.).
This makes you unique
* Engineering or university degree in chemistry or a similar field.
* Skill in developing and validating analytical methods.
* Ability to summarize logically and work autonomously with the rigour and precision necessary for quantitative analysis.
* Experience in data processing (chemometrics would be a plus) and statistics (PCA, PLS, clusters, etc.).
* Experience with chemical/physicochemical analysis techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP, MS, spectrophotometry, etc.).
* Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and English.
In a nutshell
The 'Feed Chemistry' Research Group provides analytical support for Agroscope research projects and for the Official Inspection of Feed (legal tasks). The Group analyses and develops methods for maintaining effective, cutting-edge analysis responding to the needs of agronomic research. The laboratories are ISO 17025-accredited. The Group trains apprentice chemistry laboratory technicians.
