On behalf of our partner agency in Switzerland,
We’re excited to be Looking on behalf of a warm and generous international family who have relocated to Switzerland this summer. They’re looking for a experienced and highly educated nanny to join them in a long-term role, ideally starting between November and early December.
The family has four bright and curious children between the ages of 3 and 10, all of whom are thriving academically and full of energy and personality. They attend the same school during the day, and the parents usually handle the morning drop-offs.The family are looking for a nanny to look after the two older children (ages 10.5 and 8).
The role is full-time, averaging 40 to 43 hours per week, with working hours typically from 11.30am to 7.30pm or 12 til 8pm. During school holidays, the schedule might shift to an earlier start, such as 8am to 6pm. Some travel may be involved during the summer, usually no more than two weeks at a time. The family never requires help over Christmas.
The ideal candidate will bring not only warmth, professionalism and experience, but also a genuine passion for education. For the older children, the family is looking for a nanny who can support and encourage them with their schoolwork — someone who’s confident helping with reading, writing, maths and general academic enrichment. A background in education, tutoring, or supporting gifted children would be a real advantage here.
German is important to this family, as they are settling in the local area. Both nannies will need to drive, a car is provided for use during working hours and both must hold either an EU passport or a valid Swiss work permit with several years left to run.
They will also have the support of a full-time housekeeper and a weekend nanny-housekeeper, so there are no cleaning or laundry duties involved. You may be asked to prepare simple meals for the children until a cook or housekeeper is in place.
The family are used to employing nannies and have built close, long-standing relationships with them. Their much-loved London nanny has been with them for over six years and is sadly unable to relocate.
This is a lovely opportunity for educated, thoughtful nanny who enjoy encouraging young minds and supporting families in a meaningful, long-term way. The salary offered is competitive, in the range of around CHF 86,500 per year.
