Your responsibilities
As a member of the airworthiness team, you will share responsibility for coordinating and managing the type certification process, airworthiness certificates, changes in type design, and continued airworthiness. You will be directly responsible for airworthiness activities related to rotorcraft or system-level disciplines assigned to your specific airworthiness engineer position.
Tasks:
Manage and track certification plans for initial type design and post-type certification activities, including document sharing with authorities.
Manage and track flight safety statements for experimental activities.
Collaborate closely with chief engineers, the CVE, certification coordinator, and program management to ensure cross-functional coordination and timely, quality delivery.
Verify the consistency and integration of required airworthiness certification documentation and activities, such as certification programs, certification plans (DCPs, CCLs), compliance documents, CRI & CAI, in accordance with the DOH.
Consult the DO on all airworthiness and approval matters, maintaining certification aspects of the DAS.
Prepare change classification assessments (minor/major changes).
Ensure implementation of CM requirements and revision of related substantiation documentation.
Harmonize airworthiness certification documentation.
Monitor evolving authority requirements and standards worldwide.
Assist in developing mandatory SBs in case of unsafe conditions.
Respond to failure evaluations and complaints from Kopter product operators; inform authorities of airworthiness impairments.
Assist authorities in enforcing ADs and regularly review their applicability to Kopter’s documentation.
Monitor revisions of manuals approved by authorities, including Aircraft Flight Manual, MMEL, and Airworthiness Limitations.
Create and optimize DO processes related to airworthiness and maintain related documents within the DAS.
Minimum qualifications
Engineering graduation degree or proven equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry with knowledge of DOH / DAS / QMS.
Flexible, self-driven attitude with a customer focus.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Very good command of English (minimum B2 level in spoken and written).
