Citi is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join its Regulatory Reporting Centre in Budapest. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting related tasks required by local regulators throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and regulatory reporting, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also possess advanced Excel knowledge and be fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the preparation analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies based on requirements such as IFRS German GAAP Basel.
* Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events.
* Participate in efficiency innovation projects on ad-hoc basis by reviewing and developing current processes using advanced digitalization tools.
* Liaise with multiple departments of the covered countries to resolve issues.
* Provide support to country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis.
Requirements
* University/College degree preferably in finance/accounting.
* 1-2 years relevant work experience.
* Financial accounting or regulatory reporting background is an advantage.
* Knowledge of banking products and their accounting/reporting in IFRS is an advantage.
* Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
* Fluent English knowledge.
