Job Description
We are seeking a talented Life Cycle Engineer to join our team in Chur. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and enjoys taking responsibility to improve existing products.
The Robotics business unit develops, produces, and sells pipetting robots to automate liquid handling processes for the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as for cell and DNA research.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Analyzing systematic product problems from complaints or manufacturing processes
* Collecting statistical data for serial products to identify improvement initiatives
* Developing technical solutions to improve products' robustness and cost-effectiveness
* Leading product improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary teams
* Supporting other Sustaining Engineering teams in product maintenance projects
* Assessing development projects for know-how transfer from the project phase to lifecycle management
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* A basic training as a mechatronics, electronics, or automation engineer
* Further training as a technician or engineer in systems engineering, automation, electrical, or mechanical engineering
* An affinity for production processes and macro-based product testing
* Experience with problem-solving methods like PDCA or Lean Six Sigma is preferred
* An independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
* German language skills at least B2 level and English at B2-C1 level are advantageous
