Its product is an open source, Ethereum-based app enabling users to chat, transact, and access DApps on the decentralized web. Status also develops foundational Ethereum infrastructure, including Nimbus ETH clients, the Keycard hardware wallet, and the Waku messaging protocol.
The team is fully distributed, with core contributors and community members worldwide, working with minimal hierarchy and flexible hours, emphasizing autonomy and organizational priorities.
The role
We are expanding our mobile development team to build a decentralized, censorship-resistant, privacy-first group chat platform leveraging Ethereum, enabling free communication and transactions globally.
We seek a Clojure UI Engineer to transform UI specifications into high-quality, performant, and visually appealing interfaces. The candidate should enjoy working on features end-to-end, collaborating with designers, and creating reusable UI components, with a focus on code quality, maintainability, and user experience.
Success in this role involves a willingness to learn, share knowledge, align with team goals, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment working on blockchain and messaging technologies.
Key responsibilities :
* Implement new features end-to-end.
* Collaborate with the Design team on UI design and implementation.
* Create engaging UIs and suggest code improvements.
* Prioritize tasks from the backlog through team discussions.
You ideally will have :
* Experience with ClojureScript and React Native.
* Attention to detail, demonstrated through completed work.
* Passion for blockchain technology.
* Experience working remotely and in open source projects.
