PAs a bClinical Pathologist /b the majority of your duties involve, but are not limited to, providing clients with diagnostic evaluation in the area of clinical pathology and providing necessary follow-up consultation. A high level of importance is placed on quality, timeliness, customer service, effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. /ppbIn This Role: /b /pliYou are responsible for gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens and preparation of pathology reports in a timely manner. /liliYou will meet caseload and turnaround expectations. /liliYou are responsible for providing telephone consultations to clients. /liliYou consult with and assist other pathologists as needed to promote collegiality. /liliYou will partner with, advise and assist laboratory personnel in proper specimen processing techniques and function as the pathologist on duty. /liliYou promote the growth of IDEXX by actively participating in pathologist meetings and developing and maintaining professional relationships/contact with clients. /liliYou participate in the quality control programs. /liliYou maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education. /liliTime may be provided off of routine diagnostic responsibilities to allow the pathologist to engage in other professional activities as approved by management. Such activities should improve the function or professional reputation of IDEXX.br/ /lipbWhat You Will Need to Succeed: /b /pliYou are fluent in German and English /liliYou are familiar with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine. /liliYou are able to type and use dictation equipment. /liliYou have excellent verbal and communication skills. /liliYou have a service-oriented attitude. /liliYou are able to organize and prioritize work. /liliComputer skills are required. /liliExperience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.br/ /lipbCertifications: /b /pliBoard certification in clinical pathology - American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) preferred. /liliApplications from pathologists with local boards (e.g. FTA für Klinische Laboratoriumsdiagnostik) and board eligible pathologists are also encouraged.
