Company Description Accor are incredibly proud to announce that in late Q2/Q3 2026 (exact date to be confirmed), Handwritten Collection will open the doors of Hotel Aeschi Park located in Aeschi bei Speiz, Switzerland – a distinctive new destination that reflects the authentic character and individuality at the heart of our brand.
With 40 hotel bedrooms in total, the new Handwritten hotel is located in the centre of the scenic Aeschi bei Spiez in Canton Bern. Situated in a breathtaking panoramic setting near the shores of Lake Thun and just 16 km from Interlaken, Hotel Aeschi Park enjoys a prime location with easy access to the renowned ski resorts of Wengen and Grindelwald, as well as an extensive network of hiking trails.
Job Description We are looking for an exceptional, experienced Hotel Manager and entrepreneur who will oversee the pre‑opening phase, the hotel opening and the positioning in the market of this unique hotel, which will include bar, restaurant and leisure facilities.
As a driven and open‑minded leader, you embrace creativity and change, positioning the hotel as the preferred address and number one choice in its market.
Your initial focus will be the pre‑opening phase, where you will lay the strategic and operational foundations for long‑term success. You will establish a strong market presence, define the hotel’s positioning, and create a clear and ambitious roadmap covering the following:
Organisational structure and departmental design
Recruitment and team casting
Training and cultural onboarding
Workforce planning and productivity management
Sales and marketing strategy
Budgeting and forecasting
Distribution and pricing strategy
Stakeholder management across all relevant partners
By the end of this phase, you will have built an operational framework and a cohesive vision that sets the tone for excellence from day one.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or similar education
At least 5 years of experience as a General/Hotel Manager, or proven experience as a skilled Front Office Manager, looking to make that next step to Hotel Manager
Experience in ownership relationship management
Fluent in German and English; any other language skills are a benefit
Knowledge of the local market is beneficial
Skills Strong leadership and coaching capabilities
Ability to empower, motivate and develop teams
Results‑driven with a decisive, action‑oriented mindset with a rooms‑driven focus
Proven ability to cultivate a guest‑centric culture that delivers outstanding service and memorable experiences
