Start date : September 2024Duration : 6 monthsLocation : Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland As a member of the Global Drug Substance Development, you will work with a group of motivated scientists who are committed to developing and implementing solutions to support the production of new biological therapeutics.Within this group, your mission will focus on the perfusion platform medium improvement in bioreactors ranging from 2 mL, 250mL, and 3.5 L. You will review current state of knowledge of medium development and propose/develop new chemical formulations for media and test them for their performance in bioreactors. You will also have the unique opportunity to program & work with automated sampling systems.You will be trained to work independently in the lab (cell thawing, cell expansion, work under laminar flow hood, in process control, etc) and will actively participate in experimental design. Additionally, you will analyze and present your data in project discussions and write a report to conclude your internship.
