In this new position, you will contribute to the next generation of Process Automation devices, playing a key role in the GF Piping Systems Process Automation Strategy 2025. As an R&D Standard & Approvals Manager, you will ensure the application of correct norms and standards within GF Piping Systems, from setting requirements to obtaining and maintaining approvals. You will work proactively with internal teams and external partners worldwide.
1. Support development colleagues in applying standards correctly and identify gaps and risks.
2. Responsible for standards and approvals for sensors, valve drives, and transmitters in process automation.
3. Develop global approval and conformity concepts.
4. Create submission documents and manage approval projects independently.
5. Drive re-certifications as needed.
6. Build and maintain partnerships with partners and government agencies globally.
7. Collaborate with internal and external bodies worldwide.
8. Keep updated with applicable standards through specialist literature.
9. Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 3 years of practical experience in electrical product development for the process industry or similar.
10. Experience in Standard & Approvals, ideally in sensors, measurement, or process automation industries.
11. Good experience with cULus and CE standards.
12. Ideally, additional experience with NSF, KTW, UKCA, ATEX, CSA, EC1935, 3A, EHEDG, metrological, marine, or function approvals.
13. Further experience with IEC 62443 or IEC 61508 is a plus.
14. Proficiency in English.
15. Permission to work in Switzerland (EU citizenship or existing work permit for Switzerland required).
