The opportunity
Hitachi Energy's Real Estate Function supports & manages all properties globally, including portfolio management, site selection, workplace, facility maintenance & management, project delivery, and financials.
We are seeking a Contract Manager - Real Estate (Switzerland) responsible for the Source-to-Pay process, managing end-to-end SCM activities from project initiation, supplier sourcing, procurement, to contract execution, and project closure, focusing on optimizing costs, timelines, and quality.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Planning & Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, timeline, procurement needs, quality standards, and other criteria.
* Supplier Sourcing & Prequalification: Conduct market research, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers; communicate expectations and deliverables clearly.
* Procurement Process: Manage procure-to-pay activities including RFP/RFQ, proposal evaluation, bid process management, vendor creation, PR/PO issuance, receipt coordination, invoice matching, and payments.
* Contract Monitoring & Performance Management: Oversee the full contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation to execution, monitoring, compliance, amendments, and closeout.
* Finance: Track costs against payments and communicate with vendors regarding invoicing.
* Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, resolve issues, track procurement progress, and report on project status.
* Health & Safety: Lead and uphold safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Your Background
* Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business administration, or related fields.
* At least 5 years' experience in Real Estate and/or facility management.
* Experience with industrial property projects and contractual models is advantageous.
* Strong skills in project management, contract negotiation, and source-to-pay processes.
* Proficiency in MS Office and SAP/Ariba.
* Excellent communication skills in German and English.
* Resilient, proactive, reliable, and a team player.
* Ability to adapt to change and manage stakeholders effectively.
* Maintain current industry knowledge and emerging trends.
