For this position we are looking for an experienced IT Onsite Support Specialist with strong networking skills to support our client in Bubendorf, Switzerland. This is an initial 6-month onsite contract with a high possibility of extension. The role combines hands-on end-user support with solid knowledge of networking infrastructure. This is not a network architect position but requires senior-level expertise in IT support and network troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-level onsite IT support for end-users, including hardware, software, and peripherals
Troubleshoot network-related issues at the local site, including LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and connectivity
Collaborate with remote IT teams and network engineers for incident resolution and service improvements
Support office, laboratory, and production IT environments (typical in pharmaceutical settings)
Manage and support user accounts, IT assets, and endpoint devices
Install and configure networking equipment and perform basic diagnostics
Coordinate with vendors and escalate issues when necessary
Ensure compliance with internal IT processes and security guidelines
Extensive experience in IT support roles, with a focus on onsite services
Strong hands-on knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.)
Practical experience with Cisco or similar networking equipment
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or comparable (e.g. Juniper, CISSP) are highly desirable
Ability to handle complex troubleshooting and multitask in a dynamic environment
Experience in GxP-regulated or pharmaceutical environments is a plus
Proactive, self-driven, and reliable team player
German language skills are a strong asset; English proficiency is required
All candidates must provide a Criminal record not older than 3 months
