In this role, you will work with financial and accounting data to uncover patterns, find new data connections and accurately forecast financial parameters.
You will have the opportunity to work with our Investment Management, Finance and Macroeconomic teams gaining hands-on experience in data science applied to financial markets and seeing the impact of the models on real business scenarios.
What you will do - responsibilities
1. Extract, clean and harmonize financial and accounting data.
2. Build and validate forecasting models for financial parameters (income, cash flow, performance attribution).
3. Prototype and compare ML and statistical models; apply AI-based forecasting methods.
4. Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to understand business impact and provide insights to management.
5. Collaborate with Investment Management and Finance teams to expand the universe of data.
6. Create clear visualizations and present actionable findings to non technical stakeholders
What you bring – qualifications and skills
7. Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Data Science, CS, Statistics, Finance, or related).
8. You must be located in Switzerland for the whole duration of the contract
9. Foundation in timeseries and probabilistic forecasting (ARIMA, ETS).
10. Experience in Python (pandas, scikit-learn).
11. Knowledge of ML methods valuable for financial forecasting.
12. Solid analytical skills and ability to communicate technical results to business stakeholders.
13. Fluent English.
Nice to Have
14. Understanding of financial data and basic accounting principles.
15. Familiarity with SQL for data extraction, ETL/data modelling ideally in Databricks.
16. Experience with visualization tools (Power BI).
