Job Title: Pharmaceutical Artwork Specialist
Job Type: Permanent – full time
Location: Basel, Switzerland – 3x a week on site
Remuneration: 95,000 – 105,000 CHF
Cpl Life Sciences is partnering with an independent and privately owned pharmaceutical company that specialises in niche, severe pathologies and therapeutic solutions.
As a Pharmaceutical Artwork Specialist, you will contribute to the Supply Chain team mainly at the Basel site. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the full artwork lifecycle for packaging materials prepared by external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). You will act as a key coordinator between internal functions (Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs) and external partners (CMOs), ensuring that all packaging components are developed, reviewed, and delivered in a compliant, timely, and high-quality manner to support market release.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and control the entire artwork lifecycle for externally developed packaging artwork.
* Coordinate artwork creation, updates, and approvals across internal and external stakeholders.
* Track change requests and ensure timely implementation of update.
* Support product launches, technical transfers, and regulatory-driven artwork changes.
* Perform initial formatting and proofreading checks using approved tools.
* Maintain and organize artwork master data and documentation records.
* Liaise with CMOs and artwork agencies to monitor progress and resolve issues.
* Oversee the phase-out process for outdated packaging materials.
* Prepare artwork-related documentation for regulatory submissions.
* Contribute to SOPs, process updates, and internal training related to artwork management.
* Participate in training sessions and workshops related to artwork procedures and systems.
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Good attention to detail and accuracy in coordination and documentation.
* Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical artwork or packaging processes.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in graphic design, printing technology or a related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in artwork, packaging, or administrative coordination roles (preferably in Pharma or FMCG).
* Proficient in MS Office tools; knowledge of artwork or design software is a plus.
* Fluent in English. French, German or any other language are a plus.
This role is hybrid, requiring 3x a week on site in Switzerland, please note you MUST hold the full right to work.
