Lead Credit Risk Analyst and Modeler
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced credit risk analyst to lead a team of professionals in developing and implementing cutting-edge credit risk models.
About the Role
* Develop and continuously improve credit risk models to support credit decision making throughout the customer's credit life-cycle: underwriting and approval, early-warning, collection and recovery.
* Drive model implementation and usage with cut-off strategy recommendation/simulation.
* Continue to monitor and recalibrate models on a regular basis upon acquisition of new data or significant findings from model monitoring/validation to ensure models are fit-for-purpose.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in credit risk analytics, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry practices, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Risk Model Development and Implementation
Develop and maintain complex credit risk models to support credit decision making throughout the customer's credit life-cycle. Drive model implementation and usage across the organization.
Credit Risk Analytics and Insights
Provide senior management with actionable insights and recommendations to optimize credit risk strategies. Develop and maintain credit risk reports and dashboards to facilitate informed decision making.
Leadership and Team Management
Lead and manage a high-performing team of credit risk analysts to achieve business objectives. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in credit risk analytics, with at least 7 years of management experience.
* Extensive knowledge of local and international regulations and practices on banking and finance, risk management, Basel 2, IFRS9, stress-test.
* Proven experience in building data and analytics solutions, data mining, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams.
Education and Certifications
A bachelor's degree or higher in finance, banking, financial risk management, financial math, or quantitative finance is required. Advanced degrees or certifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM, CPA are highly valued.
