Our client is a listed Biopharmaceutical group based in the Luzern area.
On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for a knowledgeable and detail‑oriented Finance & Accounting Manager to act as the dedicated local expert for all Swiss statutory and regulatory accounting matters.
You will work closely with the global finance and accounting team (based in APAC & U.S.), which leads core accounting operations, while taking primary responsibility for Swiss tax compliance, statutory reporting, and local regulatory requirements. You will ensure that the Swiss entity meets all applicable obligations.
This is a hands‑on role requiring active involvement in tax compliance, statutory reporting, and selected accounting activities. It is well suited to someone with strong expertise in Swiss tax and statutory requirements who can bridge global processes with local compliance needs.
As the sole finance representative in Switzerland, this role requires a high level of autonomy and comfort working independently in a small, growing local setup.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary finance contact for the Swiss entity
Lead and coordinate Swiss tax compliance and statutory obligations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and employer‑related taxes
Ensure compliance with all applicable Swiss laws and regulations
Collaborate with the global finance team on general ledger activities, including month‑end and year‑end closing, account reconciliations, and journal entries
Support global financial reporting by providing Swiss‑specific inputs and documentation
Prepare, review, and coordinate Swiss tax filings and statutory reporting (e.g. VAT returns, corporate income tax filings) in collaboration with external advisors
Manage communication and filings with Swiss tax authorities and external partners
Act as the local coordinator for statutory audits, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
Process local vendor invoices and intercompany transactions in line with company policies
Serve as the key liaison between Swiss operations and global finance teams (U.S. and APAC)
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
6–8+ years of experience in accounting and tax, with a strong focus on Swiss tax compliance and statutory reporting
Experience working within or alongside international finance teams
Strong knowledge of Swiss tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax) and Swiss GAAP
Familiarity with US GAAP is an advantage
Experience in SAP would be a plus
Fluent in English & German; Mandarin would be a plus
CH/EU national, or holder of a valid Swiss work permit.
