We are recruiting a Manager, Direct Materials Category Procurement for our high-performing Procurement team in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Your purpose
As a Direct Material Procurement Manager, you will develop and lead global strategic sourcing categories, driving innovation, sustainability, cost efficiency, and supplier partnerships to support our smoke-free transformation.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
* Shape and lead long-term strategies for direct materials, utilizing market intelligence and innovative sourcing models.
* Manage supplier relationships, conduct complex tenders, and negotiate high-impact deals to generate value.
* Build resilient supplier networks and implement performance metrics for agility and quality.
* Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Product Development, Manufacturing, and other departments to align procurement strategies with operational goals and identify improvements.
* Promote responsible sourcing and engagement on ESG topics, including human rights and environmental impact.
* Oversee operational tasks like supplier onboarding, raw material availability, data integrity, and risk management.

Who we're looking for
* Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain, with a foundation for global impact.
* At least 10 years of progressive procurement experience, ready for leadership roles.
* Proven skills in supplier strategy, category management, and cross-functional influence.
* Strong data-driven decision-making, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
* Fluent in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
* Proficient in MS Office and adaptable to advanced procurement systems.
