About the Role
As a Junior Leather Goods Designer, you will assist the design team in developing our luxury handbag collections. You will learn from and collaborate with senior designers to create innovative designs while gaining hands-on experience in the design process. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a creative designer to grow within the luxury fashion industry.
What You’ll Do:
* Assist in creating sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes for new handbag collections.
* Support senior designers with daily tasks, including updating design documentation and organizing design files.
* Help develop and modify prototypes, ensuring designs are practical and align with brand standards.
* Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions to refine designs.
* Assist with research and materials sourcing, helping to select materials, finishes, and hardware for handbags.
* Help organize and maintain the design archive, tracking collections and sketches.
* Stay up to date with trends in the luxury handbag industry, bringing fresh insights to the team.
Who You Are:
* You hold or are pursuing a degree in Applied Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field.
* You have a strong portfolio showcasing your creativity, including sketches and design concepts.
* You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* You are eager to learn and grow within the luxury fashion industry.
* You are a team player with a collaborative approach to design.
* You are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about craftsmanship.
* You are adaptable and open to feedback, ready to grow and develop your design skills.
