Eurovision Services is seeking a highly motivated Events Engineer to become part of the Events Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be part of the Operations division in Geneva, Switzerland.
ABOUT THE ES OPERATIONS TEAM
The Operations department serves as the central point of contact for all customers receiving operational services. This division is responsible for delivering high-quality broadcasting services, implementing reliable solutions to provide outstanding value in the transmission of top-tier sportive events around the globe. Within the Operations department, the Event Engineering team is responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of robust broadcast solutions that meet client and event requirements, guaranteeing a reliable and innovative service execution across global events.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the design of technical circuits and broadcast solutions for specific events, working closely with other departments to meet each event's specific requirements and contract conditions.
* Implement and establish a broadcast solution project plan, monitoring progress and performance against the project plan.
* Set methods and perform procedures or test protocols for special projects.
* In consultation with Project Manager for Major Events/Special Projects, evaluate requirements and set specifications for services delivery.
* Establish plans for major events projects, proof of concept and deployment, in collaboration with other units.
* Research, study and compare new market solutions to optimize existing systems.
* Combine different technologies to create new products, services or solutions.
* Collaborate with the Eurovision network technical development and major event strategy.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* 5+ Years of experience in a broadcasting environment.
* Demonstrated experience overseeing the performance of technical solutions onsite, during live transmissions.
* Strong experience in broadcast Satellite, Fiber, DVB multiplexes, IP protocols and new technologies development.
* Comprehensive video and audio broadcast expertise, including Baseband, VoIP, and AoIP technologies.
* Strong networking knowledge, covering Ethernet (L2/L3), OpenFlow, xWDM, and SDH.
* Hands‑on experience with RF transmission systems.
* Proficiency in Network Management Systems (NMS) such as Dataminer, NimbraVision, VideoIPath, and DNA‑M.
* Proactivity and search for constant improvement in workflows and processes.
* Ability to work under pressure during live events, troubleshooting complex technical issues.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills between departments.
* Self‑management and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Demonstrated experience working effectively with remote teams.
* English proficiency, both written and spoken.
* Availability to travel frequently for events setup and overseeing (+25%).
