Job Description
Under the supervision of a manager, responsibilities may include:
* Supporting the organization and review of evidence.
* Assisting with legal analysis and identifying relevant inculpatory and exculpatory elements.
* Reviewing and analyzing internal and external documents, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
* Conducting legal research on domestic and international law, jurisprudence, and decisions of other international institutions.
* Proof‑reading and cite‑checking investigative documents, including letters and preliminary findings.
* Updating internal administrative documents and trackers.
* Contributing to the development of precedent documents and training materials.
The Successful Applicant
* Enrolled in or holder of a professional law degree (JD, LLM, or equivalent postgraduate legal qualification)
* A first professional experience in a law firm, a public prosecutor's office, or a domestic/international tribunal is an asset.
* Excellent drafting abilities with clear and precise writing.
* Proven academic strength in legal research and analysis.
* Familiarity with citation and referencing standards.
* Ability to produce well‑structured, well‑supported written work within deadlines.
* Capacity to work with confidential information in a sensitive environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
* Excellent command of English (written and spoken), French is a significant asset.
What's on Offer
* Part‑time position at 40-60% (to be discussed).
* Expected workload corresponds to approximately 16-24 hours per week.
* Initial 6‑month contract, starting 1 April 2026, with potential extension.
