Banking Specialist - Payments (12-months fixed-term contract)
We are looking for a Back Office Banking Specialist in the Payments team within the BPaaS division. The candidate will be selected for our team in Bioggio (Ticino) with 100% working time.
Mission: Deliver payments services to clients and their end‑clients through high automation and high quality.
Your key tasks
* Execute daily activity on payments transactions (order entry, validation and collateral activities) regarding domestic and international commercial payments in line with the standard market rules (SIC/SWIFT/SEPA format, cut‑off times, etc).
* Manage the investigation activity towards correspondent banks/ordering banks/beneficiary banks, in strict cooperation with Clients.
* Analyze pending cash open items assigned to the Payments Team and take necessary steps to close the open positions with correspondent banks.
* Cooperate/communicate with clients and counterparties efficiently.
* Be involved proactively in the continuous improvement of processes and automation to guarantee the best service and client experience.
Qualifications
* At least 2–3 years of experience in Back Office Payments or similar.
* High flexibility and willingness to learn.
* Good team player.
* Ability to autonomously navigate a highly challenging, fast‑paced, and complex environment.
* Excellent communication and organization skills.
* Proficiency in English.
Bonus
* Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System.
* Knowledge of messaging systems: Finastra GMP, IGT+ and Bottomline GTex.
