Overview
PM Group are looking for a Safety Manager to work on a pharma labs and offices retrofit project. The role will be based near Schaffhausen in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
* Establish and implement comprehensive safety programs for pharma laboratory and office retrofit construction activities
* Ensure adherence to safety standards, pharma industry safety requirements, and client-specific safety protocols
* Conduct detailed safety assessments including contamination control and chemical exposure risks
* Investigate safety incidents, near-misses, and regulatory violations; implement corrective actions and preventive measures
* Perform regular safety inspections, document findings, and ensure compliance with safety plans and regulatory requirements
* Maintain comprehensive safety records, incident reports, training documentation, and regulatory compliance files
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Safety, Construction, Engineering, or related field
* Minimum 8-10 years safety management experience with 3+ years in pharma, chemical, or regulated industry construction
* Thorough understanding of relevant standards, pharmaceutical safety protocols, and construction safety in operational facilities
* Proven experience developing and implementing safety programs for complex construction projects
Candidates must have
* Right to work in Europe
* English language skills; German is highly desirable
