The Chief Risk Officers (CRO) area of Swiss Life Asset Managers ensures that risks are systematically identified, analyzed, evaluated, monitored, and managed at the levels of the Asset Managers Division and in local units. The Swiss Life AM CRO area has a governance function that provides framework conditions, reports, and advice to risk-taking functions, ensuring that risk tolerance and risk appetite are aligned with risk capacity.
The team, based in Zurich, performs both a group function in the cross-country organization of Swiss Life Asset Managers and the risk management function for the Swiss unit. Within the team, the disciplines of quantitative risk management for Real Assets and Securities, as well as qualitative risk management (QRM), are covered.
For the qualitative risk management (QRM) area, we are looking for a new team member as a Working Student Risk Management (w/m/d) to 60% for six months starting in February 2026.
The Role
* Assist in analyzing, managing, and updating the Internal Control System and its evaluation
* Support the introduction of a new system for managing operational risks
* Prepare and follow up on cross-country and cross-departmental committees and projects
* Support the creation of risk reports for the Executive Management
* Coordinate cross-country and cross-departmental risk assessments and ad-hoc risk analyses
Expertise
* Nearly completed or completed business or scientific bachelor's degree (university, ETH, or university of applied sciences)
* Knowledge of capital markets and alternative investments and interest in asset management
* Exact, structured, and goal-oriented work approach
* Communicative and cooperative personality with a desire to work with various contacts in different countries
* Team player with a quick grasp and pronounced quality awareness
* Very good German and English skills
* MS-Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
