Your mission

As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling customer success by demonstrating our products, supporting technical evaluations, and acting as a crucial interface between our internal engineering team and our customers. You will work across the full value chain—from understanding system-level requirements and supporting design input, to hands-on testing and customer support.

As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling customer success by demonstrating our products, supporting technical evaluations, and acting as a crucial interface between our internal engineering team and our customers. You will work across the full value chain—from understanding system-level requirements and supporting design input, to hands-on testing and customer support.

Key Responsibilities


* Perform product demonstrations and technical evaluations for customers, including hands-on setup and measurement (e.g., eye diagrams, BER testing, VNA measurements).
* Provide technical support for the integration of our products into customer systems.
* Understand and communicate the full chain of the optical transceiver system—from PIC design, packaging, and driver electronics to system-level testing.
* Develop application notes, reference designs, and test setups to showcase product performance.
* Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (design, test, and product management).

Your profile

* MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Optical Communications, or a related field.
* Solid understanding of optical communication systems and transceiver architectures.
* Hands-on experience with optical and electrical testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DCAs, OSAs, lasers, photodiodes, analog high-speed electronics, PAM4 DSP).
* Familiarity with signal integrity, high-speed modulation formats, and eye diagram analysis (e.g. OMA, BER, SNR, TDECQ, RL).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience in customer-facing roles or high technical service support is a strong plus.
* Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB, ...) for test automation is a plus.
