Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site Pastry Chef role at THE OMNIA Mountain Lodge in Zermatt. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dessert and pastry creation, ensuring a high standard of quality and presentation. Daily tasks include preparing baked goods, maintaining inventory, collaborating with the culinary team, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. The Pastry Chef will play a key role in contributing to the culinary experience that aligns with THE OMNIA’s first‑class guest standards.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Baking, Food Preparation, and Bakery‑specific techniques
* Strong Culinary Skills with expertise in Cooking and crafting a variety of pastries
* Ability to maintain exceptional standards in food quality and presentation
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen operations
* Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences
* Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining or luxury establishment is a plus
* Culinary degree or relevant training in pastry arts is preferred
* Team player with strong organizational and time‑management skills
* Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as German or French is an advantage
