Project Manager – Electrical Infrastructure
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Without a smart grid, the energy transition simply cannot happen. In this role, you become a key architect of our local infrastructure. You will ensure that distribution networks are robust enough to meet the rising demands of renewable energy and electromobility. Whether you are overseeing the construction of physical power lines or designing complex electrical systems, your work directly enables a sustainable future for the Lucerne region. You will join a team where technical expertise meets project leadership to build the backbone of tomorrow’s energy supply.
Core Responsibilities
* End-to-End Project Leadership: Lead electrotechnical projects from the initial concept and cost calculation through to construction and final handover.
* Technical Planning & Design: Develop detailed plans, diagrams, and technical documentation to ensure every project is built to high standards.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for project teams, external partners, and local authorities to keep projects moving forward.
* Quality & Safety Management: Ensure all work complies with Swiss safety regulations and technical standards (such as NIN).
* Technical Consulting: Provide expert advice on electrical engineering challenges and prepare clear cost overviews for internal and external stakeholders.
Areas of Focus
We are looking for versatile professionals, and we can tailor this role to your specific strengths. Depending on your background, your career path with us may take one of two directions:
* Network Infrastructure: You might focus on plant and pipeline construction, where you mediate between technical execution and local political requirements.
* Systems & Tendering: You might lean into the management of cross-functional systems, focusing on public tenders, SIA standards, and detailed electrotechnical planning.
Your Profile
* Basic Training: You have completed vocational training in the electrical field (e.g., as an Electrician, Electrical Planner, or Automation Technician).
* Advanced Education: You hold—or are currently pursuing—a higher degree such as a Technician (HF), Engineer (FH), or a Federal Diploma (FA/HFP).
* Professional Experience: You have a proven track record in planning or implementing electrical systems and infrastructure.
* Communication Skills: You are a strong negotiator who can explain technical details to non-experts and find common ground between different interest groups.
* Technical Tools: You are comfortable using AutoCAD; experience with SIA 451 (Messerli), Revit, or EPLAN is a significant advantage.
* Mobility: A valid Category B driving license is required for this position.
