Join a global company – Linxon – as a Financial Controller in our Central Europe Finance team. You will partner with operational teams and Finance Business Controllers, working closely with Managing Directors in Switzerland and Germany.

What will you do?
Responsibilities
Statutory Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and review Swiss/German statutory financial statements under IFRS/Swiss GAAP.
Coordinate year‑end audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.
Support local directors in fulfilling their statutory responsibilities.
Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results of the legal entities.
Tax & Regulatory Oversight
Manage corporation tax provisions and disclosures.
Prepare and review VAT returns.
Develop transfer pricing documentation.
Review tax balances and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
Support external audits, enquiries, and information requests.
Other Responsibilities
Act as a strong business partner in executing the business strategy.
Drive a culture of accountability, simplification, and participate in global harmonization projects.
Provide comprehensive project detail analysis for planning, reporting, and risk assessment.
Participate in tender preparation, assess commercial and financial risks, and develop mitigation plans.
Produce annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, estimates and other reports requested by Corporate Finance.
Oversee daily cash management of the legal entity.
Secure guarantees and bonds and implement a proper hedging strategy.
Coordinate relocation and facility management of office space (real estate strategy).
Maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.
Establish efficient processes for billing, AR, AP, expense claims and payroll with shared service providers.
Prepare accounting entries, project cost control reports, financial statements and banking statements.
Ensure compliance with company procedures.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, local regulations and tax laws impacting our entities.
Experience Required
Minimum 10+ years of accounting experience in a project environment.
Knowledge of engineering and construction (E&C) business.
Strong analytical decision‑making and problem‑solving skills; ability to adapt quickly and work under pressure.
Experience managing a team.
Autonomy, rigor, ethics, flexibility, adaptability, persuasiveness.
Proficiency in Office Suite; VBA knowledge considered a bonus.
Experience with SAP ERP is an asset.
Experience with Oracle or Accpac is an asset.
Experience with Oracle Hyperion is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and/or a Swiss Accounting Certification; CPA title is an asset.
Understanding of Swiss accounting standards, local tax issues, and IFRS accounting rules for construction contracts.
