Our mission

Role purpose
As a Credit Analyst at Coface Switzerland, you will play a key role in evaluating the financial health of companies and industries to support sound underwriting decisions. Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk Analysis and Information, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, maintaining close contact with businesses, and delivering high-quality risk assessments. Your insights will directly contribute to Coface’s ability to protect and empower our clients.
YOUR MAIN MISSIONS
* Conduct in-depth financial analysis of primarily Swiss companies using internal and external data sources
* Assign and justify credit assessments based on financial statements, market conditions, and other qualitative factors
* Maintain regular contact with businesses through calls and visits to gain deeper insights into operations and strategy
* Gather and search for additional information where required
* Assumption of responsibility and monitor assigned portfolio, while proactively identify changes in risk profiles
* Prepare sector-specific analyses to support strategic decision-making
* Collaborate with Underwriting and Sales teams to ensure alignment on risk appetite and client needs
* Participate in rating committees and contribute to group-level reporting and discussions
* Ensure compliance with Coface’s internal policies and regulatory requirements
* Stay up to date with market trends, economic developments, and industry dynamics with focus Switzerland
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
* Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
* Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in credit analysis, financial services, or corporate finance
* Prior experience in trade credit insurance or banking is a strong asset
* Proven ability to assess financial risk and make sound recommendations
Competencies
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
* Comfortable presenting and defending credit decisions
* Fluent in German or French; English is a must
* Proficient in CRM systems, and MS Office
