The site in Visp, Switzerland, is expanding, and we are seeking (Senior) Program Managers for our Mammalian, Drug Product, Bioconjugates, and Microbial Business Units. In this role, you will act as the key interface between Sales and Operations to deliver and execute customer contracts. You will serve as an advisor throughout the project lifecycle, proposing optimal solutions to successfully deliver drugs to patients with your project team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the complete lifecycle of all projects, including tech transfer and GMP production, from contract signing to delivery.
2. Lead a team of experts in a matrix organization, ensuring successful delivery in terms of quality, cost, and time.
3. Serve as the single point of contact for customers and act as their advocate on-site.
4. Facilitate communication within Lonza and between Lonza and customers regarding risks and issues, proactively managing resolutions.
5. Control project scope, prepare amendments or scope changes in collaboration with the Proposals Team, and contribute to mid- to long-term program strategies with Sales and Commercial Development.
6. Coach and mentor team members to foster growth and development.
Key Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, with a technical background (chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or similar); PhD preferred.
2. Previous project management experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical or CMO industry.
3. Strong knowledge of technical, commercial, and organizational issues impacting project strategy and planning.
4. Experience managing programs over several years in relevant business environments.
5. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems without routine solutions.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Proficiency in English; fluency in German is advantageous.
