Desired Qualifications
* High school graduate (or possess GED) plus EITHER:
* One year of paid full time or its part time/volunteer equivalent experience as an accompanist working with choral groups or small ensembles; OR, One year of college level musical instrumental studies; OR, Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits above; Daily attendance is expected.
Position Summary / Responsibilities
* Accompanies school vocal music groups and vocal or instrumental soloists at rehearsals, concerts, competitions and recitals, and in daily classroom instructions;
* Assists the music teacher in preparing classroom materials;
* Accompanies individuals and small groups of students as an adjunct to the regular teaching program, under the direction of the vocal music teacher;
* Works directly with students individually and/or in small groups engaged in “hands on” activities related to instruction;
* Demonstrates different piano and other musical instrumental styles;
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
